When founded in 1994, Interpal’s principal initial task was to provide relief and development aid to a beleaguered population which had lived through the harsh conditions resulting from over fifty years of suffering. Unemployment and malnutrition in the West Bank and Gaza Strip were on the increase, and the infant mortality rate was rising.

 

Working with its partners, Interpal has been able to make a considerable impact on the lives of ordinary Palestinians in the following fields of operation:
