Gaza Crisis
The current humanitarian crisis in Gaza is intensifying. More than 120 Palestinians were killed between Wednesday 27 February and Monday 3 March 2008 as a result of the Israeli attack on Gaza. Among the dead, 31 were children, and these included a 20-day-old baby, a 5-month-old baby, a group of children playing football, and four children who were shot dead by Israeli snipers, three of them from inside their own homes.
This latest attack has left hundreds of people injured, the vast majority of them unarmed citizens. Furthermore, a great number of houses and municipal buildings have been completely destroyed.
Meanwhile, the relentless siege continues. There is an acute shortage of medical supplies, food, water, fuel to power ambulances and electricity to supply hospitals.
Israel is collectively and indiscriminately punishing Gaza's population. The people of Gaza urgently need your help. Please support Interpla’s Gaza Emergency appeal and help ease their suffering.
