We are currently looking for a Fundraiser to join our busy, dynamic team based in North West London. The role will focus on working the field in order to maxmise revenues. It will be mainly a field role, though a considerable amount of time needs to be spent in coordinating volunteers and casual workers.
The role entails:
- Achieving an agreed money-raising target through a wide range of fundraising mediums including collections and events
- esearch and development concerning fundraising, and the implementation of institutional and regional fundraising activities
- Carrying other tasks linked with fundraising including PR, media, publicity and administration
- Liaising with funding institutions and partners, businesses, mosque committees and community organisations etc.
- Recruiting, training and coordinating volunteers and casual workers to achieve the desired goals
Essential Qualities:
- A responsible, committed and dedicated person who genuinely wants to be part of the organisation, and who is willing to contribute towards maintaining a pleasant environment in the workplace.
- A team player who is willing to co-operate and co-ordinate with other members of staff, as well as to share any new skills and ideas.
- A self-motivated person who is also able to focus, and work independently in order to meet targets.
- A person with extensive experience of one or more of the following - fundraising, finance, media or publicity. A person with excellent communication, IT, organisational and public relations skills, and in possession of an established network of contacts within various communities.
- Must be able to interact at all levels of internal and external contacts. The position requires extensive work outside normal working hours.
Remuneration:
£17,000 (negotiable based on skills and experience).
