"Holy Land: British charity assists rebirth of Gaza
It is rare to have a good news story emanating from Gaza, which is still under siege by Israel and an embargo by the Western world, but a series of pictures, taken by Andrew McConnell, one of this year’s World Press Photo laureates, show Palestinians in Gaza doing their best in adverse conditions – thanks to Interpal’s helping hand..."

"Regenerating Gaza - in pictures
The British charity Interpal is working to regenerate and rebuild Gaza after the Israeli attacks in 2008 and 2009. The charity has worked with other international NGOs to open up a humanitarian corridor from Egypt that has allowed six convoys to cross the border. Supplies brought in include medicine and medical resources. The organisation also provides funds to buy medical and computer equipment, generators, fuel and seeds"

Chaiman's Message - 29 July 2011
Ramadan Mubarak!
Dear Respected Donor - Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahatullahi wa Barakatuh.
Time passes very quickly and Ramadan is upon us once again, signalling the start of our biggest and busiest campaign of the year.
Interpal’s trustees, staff and supporters have been on field visits to the charity’s areas of operation and it is heart-breaking to see the people of this Blessed Land, in which stands the third holiest sanctuary in Islam, suffer so needlessly. Their humility in accepting their fate as a test from the Almighty is no less than awe-inspiring, so much so that one of our party said, “If you want to see people of Jannah here in the dunya, go to Gaza”.
During our visit to Gaza recently, we saw that the shelves of the Central Medicine Store for the whole Gaza Strip had large empty spaces; one battered box of the commonly-used drug Tegretol stood out in isolation. Over the course of the past year, you have translated your shared concern and solidarity by donating generously to help Palestinians in need. Don’t stop now because their suffering continues and the need is great. By helping Palestinians – the custodians of Masjid Al-Aqsa on our behalf - you are securing your own and your family’s future in the Hereafter, insha’Allah.
Once again I am asking you to support Interpal’s Ramadan Programme and to help the people of Palestine.
It is you who have provided them with succour from the blessings Allah SWT has given you; be assured that those blessings will increase with every penny you give, insha’Allah.
In concluding, on behalf of all at Interpal, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family Ramadan Kareem, and give thanks to Allah SWT for inspiring you to donate generously. Needless to say, we look forward to your continued and unstinting support.
Yours in Islam;
Ibrahim Hewitt
Chairman of the Board of Trustees
