AmBank Kuala Lumpur International Marathon 2007
Interpal was approached by a volunteer Mr. Zafar Khan, a keen marathon runner. Mr. Khan was planning to run the KL Marathon to raise funds for Interpal and Sightsavers, another UK charity. Mr. Khan received press coverage from his local newspaper, Heathrow Skyport, and Interpal’s Resource & Development Manager was invited to the photoshoot. The 16th AmBank Kuala Lumpur International Marathon drew 8,182 runners from 49 countries in four distances. Cyprian Kiogara and Winfridah Kwamboka, both from Kenya, won the men’s and women’s races respectively. It was the fifth win in the men’s race and the first in the women’s for Kenya in the 23-year old history of the KL Marathon.
Interpal and its beneficiaries would like to thank Mr. Khan for choosing Interpal to benefit from sponsorships from his run.
