Education
INTERPAL recognises the importance of supporting education programmes in order to empower the youth of Palestine, and as a means of providing them with a better future. The bulk of the funds earmarked for the field of education is distributed to provide school kits (a satchel containing books, stationery and in some cases school uniforms) for poor and needy children at the start of the school year, aid to needy students, help for the establishment of schools and nurseries, and support for educational institutions (e.g. sponsorship of academic staff).
Due to the desperate shortages in the provision of education as a result of poverty, Interpal earmarks about 10% of the funds it distributes for educational aid purposes. Interpal's main aim is to keep children and students in education by:
- Providing assistance to schools and universities.
- Funding special education programmes including Summer Camps for children.
- Supporting needy students through the provision of School Kits and help with education expenses.
- Providing financial assistance to university students inside or outside Palestine to help them complete their studies.
- Providing assistance and support to educational institutions, such as the establishment of schools and nurseries, and the sponsorship of academic staff
- Supporting poor and needy students through the provision of help with education expenses and the provision of School Kits at the start of the academic year (a satchel containing books, stationery and in some cases school uniforms)
