Muhammad's hopes

Muhammad is a 78 year-old Palestinian man from Al Kabri village. He now lives in Burj El Barajneh Camp, in Lebanon, with his wife, daughters and 17 grand-daughters.

 

As Muhammad was suffering from heart disease, he received a $500 cheque from Interpal’s Social Fund, which allowed him to get the surgery he needed.

Every night Muhammad tells stories about Palestine to his granddaughters so that they never forget it.

 

His dream is, like most Palestinians, to go back to his country: “I want to return to my mother’s country, to my father’s house, breathe the air, cultivate the land, see my granddaughters play around and take them to pray in Al Aqsa.”
