Yahya's hopes

Yahya is 11 years old and lives in Burj El Barajneh camp with his family. He is in Grade 6 and studies at Al Berih UNRWA school. He is a very hardworking student and loves playing soccer.

 

The family’s financial situation is dire. His father suffers from back pain and is unable to find a job. His mother suffers from heart disease, asthma and kidney problem. She works as a cleaner, however her low income doesn’t cover the family basic needs.

 

Yahya has recently become a beneficiary of our sponsorship programme. We provide him and his family with financial and food aid. He told us that his dream was to be able to pray in Al Aqsa. “In the next 20 years, I would like Palestine to be the richest country in the world.”
