Amoune, from Idlib in Syria

Interpal’s All Women’s Delegation has been bearing witness to the difficulties facing women in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

One of the women they have spoken to is Amoune, from Idlib in Syria. For the past four years she has been living in Lebanon’s Al Aoudi camp. The pictures in her hands are of her two sons who died in Syria. She has 70 grandchildren, living in many different countries. After speaking with the delegation, one of her granddaughters told them “Insha’Allah, one day we’ll return to Syria”.
