And the winners for this year’s Palestine Verses are:

  • 1st Place: Hafsah Aneela BashirA Tap on the Roof
  • 2nd Place: John LingWe will be angry
  • 3rd Place: Barbara CumbersThirst Fugue

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who submitted poems: we were amazed by the response we had to the competition: we received over 100 poems!

The standard of entries was excellent and made it extremely difficult to select the three finalists!

The three finalists will have the opportunity to read their poems at our Nakba Narratives event this Saturday 21st May at Royal Nawaab London.

Like last year we will publish a poetry booklet that will include the 20 best poems – keep an eye on your emails, your poem might be selected!

Again, thanks to all the entrants, reading your poems was absolutely wonderful. We are incredibly grateful to each and everyone of you for taking part!

Give Mercy, Earn Mercy

Gaza is in a state of emergency. There has been shocking violence against protestors, leaving thousands injured and over 100 people dead.

This Ramadan, help us ensure the injured receive the medical care they need.
