“My name is Hala and I’m 9 years old. I live in Gaza City and I’m in 7th grade. I’m excellent at my studies, last semester I got 98%. I want to study to become a teacher one day.

I live with my parents, my brother and my two sisters in a rented house. The rent costs about $190 a month . My father is a driver, but nowadays he doesn’t work. We totally depend on charities to cover our needs and pay the rental costs.

I want to graduate from high school and join university. Today I’m very happy. I came to Interpal’s recreational event for orphaned children. I got toys and lunch meals. I thank Interpal for this event and I wish I could come to these events every day”.
