Since before its official registration in 1994, Interpal has been working to provide vital financial aid for vulnerable Palestinian families. Although the way we work has changed due to external pressures and malicious actions, the impact and value of the work we have done cannot be erased.

Ramadan is a time when we are reminded of the many ways in which we have helped donors in the UK complete their religious obligations and make a difference to the lives of struggling families. From sponsoring over 8000 children, providing seasonal Ramadan, Qurbani and Winter aid to over 50,000 people annually and helping hospitals and schools keep running, the positive impact of these interventions continues.

Equipment for heart surgeries and neo-natal clinics is still ensuring safer and better healthcare for patients in Gaza. Ambulances and grants to health clinics in Lebanon helped thousands of patients improve their health and helped to save lives. Our work with community organisations has helped local NGOs grow and provide vital community support to youth, women, the elderly and people with disabilities.

“Interpal helped open this medical clinic and Alhamdolillah we are here, serving this huge camp with so many problems after all these years. We are truly appreciative for all those in the UK who cared for our health in Ein el Helweh.”- Khalid Ibn Waleed, Health Clinic

Our work with community organisations has helped local NGOs grow and provide vital community support to youth, women, the elderly and people with disabilities.

“The centre is important for the children as they have special needs. By helping us, it means they can continue to learn and won’t be left behind. This development is very important for their whole lives.” – Sanabel School, Gaza

Interpal has also worked with specialists to provide medical expertise, specialist training and trauma therapy for families catered to the needs of people in Gaza or Lebanon. Training for kidney transplants, burns victims treatment and psychiatry has been bolstered by your kindness. This has given people tools to cope with their circumstances and continue to improve their own ability to take care of their needs.

“I began to see that I deserved to be happy and despite everything, I can now use what I was taught on making every day better for myself and my children. I can also ask for help, which I was afraid to do before. Thank you.” – Nisreen, beneficiary of Family Trauma Therapy in Gaza

All your ongoing support and trust in Interpal has made great things happen and ensured many people did not feel alone during times of fear and uncertainty. We hope that you will keep Palestine on your mind this Ramadan and continue to act and advocate for the people of Palestine, inshAllah!
