Meet 7 year-old Ahmad, from Jordan!

7 year-old Ahmad lives in Al-Nasr refugee camp in
Jordan, with his mother and his 5 siblings. Ahmad suffers from brain atrophy
and epilepsy and is entirely dependent on his mother to care for him. “He
cannot walk or eat without my help; he cannot express himself” said his mother.

Ahmad needs special equipment to be able to move
around, as well as medicines and diapers. Ahmad needs to attend a special day
care centre, where he could receive the qualified and specialized care he
desperately needs, but the costs are too high and the family cannot afford it.

At Interpal we want to ensure that children with
disabilities are not excluded from society; we want to help them realize their
full potential as valued individuals. That is why Ahmad is now part of our
one-to-one Sponsorship Programme. The financial aid Ahmad receives every month goes
towards his medication and the basic necessities to improve his quality of
life; it eases the financial burden on the family.
