Ovais, Climbing for Palestine
Ovais climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised £1,625 for Palestinian orphans! He wrote on his Facebook following his trek:
“All praise to Allah, On Thursday 25th February 9.30am local time I managed to reach the “Roof of Africa” standing tall at just under 20,000ft. Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the highest free standing mountain in the world.
My target had always been to raise money for Palestinian orphans and to reach the top. Mentally and physically it was the hardest thing to date. Six months hard-core training finally paid off. I would like thank my lovely wife for the support and encouragement. Without you this would not have been possible. Hopefully I’ve set an example for our boys. If you put your heart and soul into something you can achieve anything.
Thank you all for the donations.”
This International Women's Day, on March 8th 2019, host your own afternoon tea and support the legacy of extraordinary Palestinian women like the late medic, Razan al Najjar.
All funds raised will go towards our Razan al Najjar Scholarship Fund which provides training to even more paramedics in Gaza.
