Ramadan 2016 Special Donation

Interpal is grateful to the Tanvir family for their kind gift to the people of Gaza. During the month of Ramadan, Interpal tries to alleviate the struggles of those families most in need.

The blockade on Gaza has entered its tenth year, continues to hamper freedom of movement of persons, and also negatively impacting the range of rights, including sufficient and safe drinking water and adequate sanitation, food security and life-saving treatment including health care.

The month of Ramadan is meant to be a festive time spent with family and friends, yet, in Gaza, the bleak situation clouds the joyous occasion. Many people have to spend Ramadan without any food on the table at Iftar time.

With the funds raised by the Tanvir family, we provided food assistance and financial aid to families in need and additionally put on a children’s party to celebrate this special time together.

We are so grateful for the kind generosity of the Tanvir family for their assistance with this project.
